WHY NOW? Alliant Energy has to provide data to the Iowa Utilities Commission one year from the date the rate increase went into effect (October 1, 2024) to demonstrate that ratepayer bill increases are not higher than the Commission has authorized. CEDI is asking Alliant customers to voluntarily share their data with CEDI for independent analysis.
It's critical that we download and examine this data BEFORE DEC 1, 2025, allowing a clear comparison of your costs BEFORE the Alliant's most recent rate increase, compared with your costs AFTER the increase.
